Nursing program ends at UTTC

BISMARCK, N.D. – The North Dakota Board of Nursing says United Tribes Technical College has officially closed its associate degree practical nursing program.

Stacy Pfenning of NDBoN said it conducted an on-site visit at UTTC in October 2018. The nursing program on the campus was granted full approval, for the next five years, by the board. But now, UTTC is abruptly closing its nursing program after 40 years on campus.

Marissa Thomas is a freshman at UTTC. She says she was taking prerequisites for the nursing program.

“I didn’t get any notifications about the nursing program shutting down or anything like that,” said Thomas.
