Over 43.5 million family caregivers in America provide a vast array of emotional, financial, nursing, social, homemaking and other services on a daily or an intermittent basis. Powerful Tools for Caregivers is an educational series designed to provide tools family caregivers need to take care of themselves. Caregivers who take good care of themselves will be better prepared to take good care of their loved ones.
The integrated training will equip class leaders to co-lead programs for both target audiences: caregivers of adults with chronic conditions and caregivers of children with special health and behavioral needs.
The customary registration fee of $150 is waived due to a grant through the ND Department of Human Services, Division of Aging Services. Participants will be eligible for reimbursement for mileage, lodging, and meals to attend the Class Leader training.
