Pre-Licensure BSN Program:

The Baccalaureate nursing program is a four year course of study leading to a Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) degree. Graduates are eligible to apply for the national licensing examination (NCLEX) to become a registered nurse (RN). As the largest program in the School of Nursing, it consists of one year prerequisite courses and three years of professional nursing courses. LPN to BSN program:

Offered in a blended learning format tailored for the working LPN who desires to earn a bachelor’s degree. The sequence of nursing courses (primarily taught online) is six semesters in length, including summers. The program requires occasional time on campus as well as clinical experiences in the Fargo-Moorhead area during the summer sessions. RN to BSN Program:

The program is offered in a blended-learning format. On-campus immersions will occur once per semester and all other courses are taught online. The program is designed to recognize the educational and professional experiences that RNs possess, building upon that knowledge to transform their nursing practice. BSN to DNP Program:

Designed for BSN RNs who want to prepare for practice as a Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP). The Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP) is a terminal degree that prepares the FNP to provide the most advanced level of nursing care for individuals, families, and communities. The DNP program educates the FNP graduate for expert practice based on evidence to function in leadership and clinical roles.This curriculum is full-time for eight semesters including summers.
